Your Workplace Health team in Hartlepool are here to help businesses and organisations take the first step to prioritise wellbeing in the workplace.
By improving wellbeing in the workplace, you can support your staff’s health, improve absenteeism, and ensure colleagues feel valued.
Karen Stubbings, Project Lead of Workplace Health, said: “We’re appealing for businesses to get in touch if they’re interested in improving their employee’s health and wellbeing through the Better Health at Work Award (BHAWA).
“The award is completely free, with our team giving you the tools and support to achieve the award, and for employers to get the recognition for making a difference for their staff.
“The award has been beneficial to many businesses so far, with award recognition improving staff morale and supporting recruitment processes with links to employee health and wellbeing benefits.
“I encourage any business interested in looking after its staff to get in touch on workplacehealth@pcp.uk.net for more information.”
Businesses that sign up will join the likes of Stagecoach and Cleveland Fire Brigade in prioritising their employees through health and wellbeing support.
Support and training through the award can include information on cancer awareness, stopping smoking, eating healthily, alcohol awareness and more.
The Better Health at Work Award in Hartlepool is delivered by North East charity, the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP).
